Amazing place with free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a welcome drink. I'll never forget how the staff helped me with a wake-up call during my first stay. I can't wait to return for Christmas!

Location, hotel is friendly and comfortable, food is good
The atmosphere has deteriorated since I was last there as the sardine dishes (and other things?) have been removed from the lounge. Also there were ornaments missing from the mantle piece in the small dining room and the room was rather stark. Very disappointing as I had told my girlfriend about the great ambience of the hotel. Before the above changes the hotel was perfect.

The property was clean and staff was wonderfully helpful. We were in an extremely quiet location relatively close to The Flitwick Club. And it was also near to Bletchley Park, the war-time top secret code-breaking centre near Milton Keynes, several attractions including Bletchley Park and the conservatory in august which was so un environmentally friendly. Hotel's bar was pleasant.

Had a really comfortable stay for 1 night on business, and would stay here again. The facilities were excellent and easy to use.
Their staff were a bit disorganised.

Lovely old building in tree lined grounds. Attentive staff and excellent afternoon teas. Room with a terrace and views of the grounds.
Bathroom a little tired

Very comfortable beds and rooms. Roaring fire in the lobby and lovely countryside views from the bedrooms. Didn't use the restaurant in the evening but the breakfast was outstanding. All staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Wasn't thrilled that Room 5 had a fire exit going right between the bedroom and bathroom and only had a small shower instead of a bath. Although I know it would have been unlikely for a fire to have occurred, it left me a little uneasy that someone could stumble through my room by accident! Luckily, Room 3 did have a bath, but had I not been staying with a relative, I would have found the bathroom in Room 5 lacking, especially as the bedroom itself is so large and luxurious. These few niggles didn't detract too much from a generally very pleasant stay.

Loved the outdoor movie on the lawn, and the fine views made evenings magical. The four poster bed was a treat!

Beautiful building and setting.
The hotel seemed short of staff, and the reception desk was just a table in the hall, which was not manned. To get the attention of a receptionist was difficult at times even though the hotel did not appear to be busy.

The room was a well-appointed Superior Double Room, with a king-sized bed and a spacious work area that facilitated my productivity. The staff were attentive, promptly assisting with my needs. Breakfast offered an excellent selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and freshly prepared dishes that fueled my day.
Wi-Fi connectivity was occasionally unstable.

Unbelievably large luxurious room - 4 poster bed, double baths in bathroom also with sauna. The hotel was generally very comfortable. The service was excellent and the only meal we had - breakfast - very enjoyable. It you want to stay in this area its a very good choice but you have to be prepared for the price. However it is good value for what you get.
The room we had, whilst luxurious, was above a function room. That night they had a function. However the music stopped at 11.30 so no real problem.
